Angels for Orphans is the guardian for our chosen children’s charities. We currently raise awareness and funds for charities in Hong Kong, Cambodia and Indonesia that work tirelessly on the ground to improve the lives of the many children in their care.
Every child has a right to love, protection, happiness, education, care, shelter, food, medicine, clothing and hope. Yet, sadly, thousands of orphaned children are denied a safe and loving environment in which to flourish and grow. They find themselves caught up in the endless cycle of violence, disease, mal-nutrition and ignorance that blights their young and fragile lives. Extreme poverty is their harsh reality. Many of the orphans living in orphanages are also there because their impoverished parents do not believe they can care for them. Such children in care are widely refereed to as "Economic Orphans".
At Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC), “Protection” means far more than free from physical threats or abuses. We protect and safeguard children’s rights for whole-person development. It has always been HKSPC’s mission to build a “Healthy, Happy and Safe” environment for children from all backgrounds.
HKSPC has been committed to nurture children in their early childhood development since 1926. Being one of the most established organizations in the field, HKSPC currently operates 27 services units serving children aged 0 to 16 and their families, especially catering for the needs of working parents, single parents, low-income families, CSSA families, new arrival families and ethnic minority families. We serve around 3,000 children and their families on a daily basis.
In the future we will further develop and consolidate service expertise on child development and parent education & support, with emphasis on early identification and intervention of children at risk of developmental disabilities.
Kids4Kids inspires young people in Hong Kong to take action and make a positive social impact. Kids4Kids aims to develop social awareness and responsibility by providing platforms that empower kids to enact positive change in their community. Kids4Kids has partnered with over 65 schools, 40 charity organizations and has involved over 15,500 students.
The Sovereign Art Foundation (SAF) was established in 2003 with a well-defined twin focus: to recognise the growing wealth of contemporary art talent in Asia, and bring the proven benefits of expressive arts to underprivileged children. The beauty of our model is that we are able to achieve both goals in an eminently sustainable way. The Sovereign Asian Art Prize, now recognised as the most prestigious prize in its field and region, raises funds by auctioning those artworks that reach the final stage of the competition. The proceeds are then shared equally between the artists and the Foundation, to be used for our charitable projects across Asia.
